worst relocation consultant ever

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Intel has the worst relocation consultant ever. The only thing they sent you is an email with a couple of websites that are so generic it does not help at all. I am not stupid, I can find sites such as citysearch.com myself.
A relocation consultant should be someone who you can call and ask questions about the area, and who can make suggestions on where to live. Furthermore, you should be able to ask them about the cons and pros of certain area.

What is the point of having a relocation consultant if they don’t tell you anything. Either Intel is stupid and are therefore, paying these consultants that do not do anything or they do not care about their employee’s  at all. In either case, there should be a change.
I understand that Intel is no longer the hot company that they used to be, but if they do not treat their people better, they can’t get much better. I am fairly disappointed at my relocation experience so far. If any Intel HR people read this, please try to fix it.

So far, I’ve had nothing but stress with finding an apartment around here. This stress is definitely not going to help me perform better at my job.  I hope the job will be interesting at least, or else, this decision to move up to Portland will become the worst blunder I’ve ever made.

Done!!!

I am finally done. I no longer have my labtop and therefore, I can’t do any more work. :-)

I hope all of my work toward the end was not all in vain, and that my advisor do end up sending it to IEEE Trans. on Semicon. Manufacturing.
