Engineer’s Attempt at Writing

I was walking to my office today and I saw this girl running to speak to someone. It looks to me that the girl was campaigning for one of the ASUC senator positions. It made me wonder if the girl really care. I mean does she think she can make a difference that will affect UC Berkeley or is she doing all of this so she can put an extra line on her resume.

I ask this question because I am cynical and when I was an undergraduate, I’ve join things like Tau Beta Pi that I don’t really care about. I joined because I wanted to put on my resume member of Tau Beta Pi and I want to eat the free bagels that they provide every month. Other than going to get the bagels, I’ve never been to any other Tau Beta Pi events.

I am disappointed at myself for joining things that I never care about when I was an undergraduate. I wish I had join other activities that I really care about.

Did you join any club or pursue any activities you didn’t care about just so you can add an extra line to your resume?

I really must not have anything else better to do.
