Back to school

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I woke up at 7:30 and there was no parking at the dublin bart station. It took over 15 minutes to find a parking spot. It is a good thing that I found a place at Berkeley.
While I was walking up to campus today, I saw all these freshmens going to classes. It reminds me of the time when I was a freshmen, and it also reminds me of how old I am. I am like 7 years older than most of these freshmens. I feel so old.

Back to Berkeley

I finished my internship this past Friday. I really enjoyed my time at AMD. It really makes me wonder if I really want to pursue a Ph.D. in Signal Processing. To all the students out there, if you are looking for a place to work, give AMD a try. It is a awesome place to work and everyone there, at least in Sunnyvale, is very nice. However, if you go to school at UC Berkeley or Stanford, consider going to AMD in Austin because they do provide any kind of relocation benefits to sudents who goes to school in the Bay Area. That was the only thing I didn’t like about my internship at AMD. Everyone else I know was getting some kind of living assistance or relocation benefits except for us who goes to UC Berkeley.
I actually found a place to live at Berkeley. I am pretty happy about that. I know I was suppose to write about something interesting at least once a week, but I am just so damn lazy that I haven’t done it. One of these days I will do it.

I think I am going to be homeless

Monday, August 14th, 2006

I hate looking for a place to live at Berkeley. Man, no one replies to my email. Of those that replies, their place seems to be taken by someone else before I have a chance to decide if I want to live there or not.
Well, I have decided to add the ability to drag and drop files using synergy. I am currently looking at the source to see how the software works.

Five reasons I should be happy

Monday, August 7th, 2006

I was listening to the radio today and it says that one way of relieving stress is to think about happy thoughts. I do not know 10 things to be happy about, so I am going to try to make 5.
1. I am alive – I am better off than all those people who are dead.
2. I have a loving family
3. I am not homeless – hopefully not
4. I have a lot of good friends
5. There are still many wonderful things out there on this planet for me to enjoy
